Dear Friend

I worked with Christina at Foothills Hospital NICU for many years. We became good friends and we would shop together and cook. I remember we went to a Sting concert once and she thought Sting was cute, she told me she was going to marry a white man, lol, and so she did!  I lost contact with her over the years but thought of her often, she was fun to work with and a wonderful nurse. I loved her laugh and her charm.  Last week I thought of her more than ever and thought to myself, I need to try again.  So here I am and I am shocked. What a beautiful person she was and I know we shared a bond even though it was broken by time.  Rest in Peace, beautiful Christina

Dear Gerard:

In your time of mourning, thank you for taking the time to let us know of Christina’s passing. I will send a memorial notice to our staff, and include the link to the heartfelt obituary with the link to the foundation honouring her life and work.

I can hardly imagine the depth of your mourning,  and that of her family, losing such an amazing woman at such a young age. My heart and prayers are with you.

Sincere regards,

Christina was everyone’s friend she just had that way with her, after 3 yrs in Drogheda, Ireland, I felt I knew her all my life, herself and Gerard went all out to ensure we had the most memorable reunion in Boston in 2009, bless her she was and always will be the tops be the very best, I remember the following year when her and Gerard came to Ireland of course she wanted to see all of us, I got a phone call from her I was standing looking out over the lough swilly here in Buncrana in North Donegal she was going to Belfast from Dublin unfortunately Belfast is 2 hrs away from me and I was unable to meet her, I know she was trying hard to meet us all in Florida 2016, but unfortunately God wants Chris and I know anyone who ever had the good fortune to meet her would understand why the most beautiful, delightful Chris who was blessed with the common touch and a terrific sense of humor, rest that beautiful smile and Gorgeous eyes in Heaven, forever friends.

From the Morans

my wife Kathy and i along with our three children spent time with Gerard and Christina up in Prince Edward Island. i will never forget her beautiful smile and love she expressed on an everyday basis.

i will never forget her and her co-workers taking care of my oldest son Christopher in the NICU. without going on and on about her other qualities and passions i would like to say the world has a huge void in it. the only comfort we may have is knowing she is definitely up above with the angels and other super people who have gone before her. may she rest in peace!

From her niece

My aunt Christina is simply amazing. It’s been wonderful to hear all the stories her friends are sharing about how she touched their lives. While I never saw her at work in a hospital myself, she sounds like an outstanding nurse who really went above and beyond for her patients and their families. She brought the same caring qualities to her friendships as well, and is one of those special people who easily inspire deep friendship and bring people together. Christina, you are well loved. I was lucky to have you in my life and I’ll miss you.
